Understanding Changing Environments
Welcome to the Environmental & Urban Strand Research Centres, the University of Salford's focus for geographical and environmental science research. The Environmental & Urban Strand Research Centres comprises around thirty researchers working on interdisciplinary projects concerned with the measurement, modelling and analysis of land surface and atmospheric processes. The centre includes internationally recognised research clusters in radar and lidar hydrometeorology, remote sensing of land surface vegetation change, glaciology and sediment and nutrient dynamics. The centre aims to carry out high quality real-world research that contributes to scientific understanding of the nature and impacts of environmental change on the natural and human environment.
